Memorial for Kimbo

A memorial service for K9 Kimbo of the Polk County, NC Sheriff's office was held at the McFarland Funeral Home in Tryon, NC on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Kimbo, a Belgian Malinois who
was known to find drugs in Polk and surrounding counties, lost his battle with cancer and
was euthanized on Friday, August 28th. The sheriff's office flew its flags at half-staff in
honor of Kimbo, and officers from Polk and surrounding counties met at the sheriff's
office for a procession to the funeral home for his service.

Funeral Home Gifts donated a beautiful Tribute Blanket honoring Kimbo which was displayed
at the service and presented to his handler, Lt. Jared McFalls.
